KWP WIN U12
NORTHERN
CONFERENCE
Kingsway Power lifted their first ENG YNPL U12 Northern Conference title after producing a near perfect performance against Oldham NC in their final game of the season. Through-out the season Kingsway Power were identified as one of the teams to beat and they relished in the pressure that has been placed upon them. They won games against Saddleworth and Leeds Athletic when some would say they weren't at their best and that vulnerability even had us at ENG thinking Oldham NC would come out on top as the eventual winners of this league. When the top two did collide though it wasn't that Oldham were bad in any shape or form, it was the near perfection of the Kingsway Power performance that got them the win and the league title.

Oldham NC would be disappointed not to win the game against Kingsway Power but can take alot of knowledge from a game that KWP potentially would find it hard to replicate due to how good the performance was. They will have the chance to take on their local rivals again on April 30th and will no doubt be prepared for what KWP will throw at them.

Leeds Athletic and Wyre NC made up the 3rd & 4th positions and will be both confident that they will be able to reach the semi-finals of the nationals due to the level of opposition they have been up against all season. The question will be not whether they get in the semi-finals but if they can take on netball powerhouses KWP & Oldham.

A mention must also go out to the MVP of the season Alana Glennan who performed superbly through-out the season for Leeds Athletic. Her attitude on court combined with her natural ability made her stand out as one of the No.1 players in the league.
