A wet, windy and miserable day saw a disrupted ENG YNPL round of fixtures. This was the third round of this league and saw Chester U12 tighten their grip on the top spot after a good win over Macclesfield NC. In the U13 league Ellesmere Port & Chester NC A both recorded wins to maintain their unbeaten starts to the season.

Chester NC A 28 Vs Macclesfield NC 10

Chester NC started well in a rain soaked tie against Macclesfield NC who were playing their first game in the league. After Macclesfield NC settled down they started to have some success within the game and got back into contention, with the score 13-6 at half time. Both teams in the 3rd quarter were making errors due to the conditions, but Chester managed to convert more of their chances and killed the previous quarter fight back from Macclesfield. The 4th quarter was all one way traffic with Chester finding fluency between attack and defence. The win was capped off with an amazing long bomb from the Chester NC GA which brought cheers from a very wet Trinity Sports Centre.

Saddleworth NC 39 Vs M&A NC 9

After a loss in the previous round Saddleworth NC were determined to get back on track against M&A and it was a good start from both sides which saw a competitive opening quarter with M&A NC playing their best netball so far in the league. The second quarter saw Saddleworth move through the gears and they started to pull away from M&A NC with the score 18-9 at half time. The rest of the tie was dominated by Saddleworth and they finished strong with the final quarter being their best quarter of the game.

Ellesmere Port NC 40 Vs Chester NC Lightning 11

Ellesmere Port continued their good form in the league with a comprehensive win over Chester NC B. It wasn't all plain sailing though with Chester NC B pushing Ellesmere Port in the first quarter and they were made to work to start the second quarter 9-7 ahead. As the second quarter began the Chester NC shooters lost their radars and were missing shots they know they should of scored which allowed Ellesmere Port to go in at half time ten points ahead. The third and 4th quarters were dominated by the Merseyside team and they recorded another win and remained top of the league.

Chester Blaze 46 Vs DNA NC 18

This game played out similar to the one above with DNA NC starting well and then fading as the quarters progressed. Chester Blaze early on took a bit of time to get to grips with DNA, but once they did managed to control the tie and were ruthless when under the posts. DNA did produce the best performance in the final quarter, managing to win 7-5.
